3D FLIGHT MAP

Global Sky Population is an interactive map that shows aircraft routes from the last 15 years from every country in the world. Users can select a single destination and visualize the number of passengers and flights from that destination to other parts of the word. Each flight path is draped over a globe, and each path features a simple point animation along it to indicate direction of travel. The frequency of passengers along each route is indicated by the width of each line.

The Global Sky Population mapping project was created in 2014 for The Atlantic newspaper on behalf of Boeing.
